- Lead software development projects related to the Council's two web sites: CFR.org and ForeignAffairs.com. Each web site is comprised of more than 10,000 documents. CFR.org offers a rich archive of audio, video and interactive multimedia.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define requirements for new work related to content management systems and front-end functionality.
- Write technical specifications and RFPs.
- Program new functionality in PHP and JavaScript; create and manage MySQL databases.
- Maintain multiple development environments, including the Apache server configuration and the Subversion code versioning software.
Web Technical Producer, Council on Foreign Relations, June 2007 – June 2010
- Maintain, upgrade and enhance the organization’s web applications. Program new functionality and write scripts to automate processes.
- Oversee web infrastructure projects from the writing of technical RFPs through vendor selection and implementation. Recently completed converting the Foreign Affairs magazine web site from a custom code base to a more flexible and extensible one built on Drupal.
- Manage system administration and programming vendors charged with maintaining web infrastructure and production servers for two high-profile web sites (CFR.org and ForeignAffairs.com).
- Serve as a technical resource for all members of the web development team. Assist with department's help desk duties and support all members of the larger organization as necessary.

- Developed and maintained interactive web sites using PHP, MySQL, ActionScript, and VB Script. Built web sites using the Drupal and WordPress content management systems.
- Administered Linux web servers: compiled, installed and configured Apache, PHP, MySQL, Samba and other software packages; managed user accounts.

- Consulted on use of database technology with national and international organizations.
- Created accounting databases for 2 micro-finance institutions and an inventory database for Unicef.
- Trained Mauritanian personnel to use and maintain databases.

- Designed relational database to manage technical specifications and metadata associated with thousands of digitized documents for Stanford University’s Digital Library Project (DLP).
- Created Perl/CGI-based interface to access and manipulate DLP’s document database.

- Managed design, development and implementation of e-commerce web site.
- Created relational schema for inventory/order database; administered Microsoft SQL Server.
